i still think that the worst is yet to come but i also believe we will come out of this stronger, wiser and more realistic about how government and private corporations function in relation to the general public and society as a whole.

Ok, taxes are meaningless in some ways. Money is created via debt. All things funded are funded via debt. Taxes pay “interest” on debt. Debt destruction = money destruction; new money is created via debt to fund debt, but don’t directly fund anything. Money is extracted from the system intentionally putting pressure on inflation. What segment of earners have the most money relative to their population? The top 1%. Is there any? question why gold is 1600+ given our current tax system?
